We started with the Catechism:
Q: Who made you? A: God.
Q: What else did God make? A: All things.
And then I told them about how that cinnamon comes from the bark of a tree, flour from grass seeds, and syrup from the ‘blood’ of a tree. We added salt from the sea, an egg from a chicken, and milk from the bottom of a cow…and made pancakes. Oh, we also shook a mason jar that was full of cream and made our own butter!
It was a busy morning of coloring, reading and story, cooking, and eating; and all because God made the day too.
